Tauseeq Haider started his media journey in 1987 as an English-language newscaster for Radio Pakistan. At the young age of 17, his exceptional voice and communication skills made him a natural fit for the broadcasting world. When Radio Pakistan launched its experimental FM channel in 1993, Haider achieved the distinction of being its first-ever voice to air. He eventually transitioned to television on Pakistan Television (PTV), where he initially read the English news before shifting toward more dynamic anchoring and hosting roles. He made his acting debut in 1997 with the PTV drama Mahrukh, playing the role of Sultan, which was followed by an appearance in Parchain (1999) on NTM. Rise to FameOver the next two decades, Tauseeq Haider became one of Pakistan's most recognizable and respected television anchors. He hosted numerous game shows, talk shows, and cultural programs, most notably anchoring the long-running morning show Rising Pakistan on PTV Home and the beloved travelogue Dil Say Pakistan. Beyond his on-screen hosting, Haider co-founded the production house Black Box Sounds in 2005, through which he directed and produced impactful documentaries like The Story of a Banyan Tree (2020). After a long hiatus from acting, he marked a major international return in 2022, starring alongside Atiqa Odho in the Turkish comedy-drama Koyu Beyaz on TRT Digital. Recent & Upcoming Works (2024-2026)Tauseeq Haider recently made a full-fledged return to Pakistani television dramas, taking on prominent character roles. In 2024, he won over audiences as Murtaza in ARY Digital’s blockbuster Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum, sharing the screen with Hania Aamir. He also delivered strong performances as Zara’s therapist in Hum TV’s Jafaa and as Suleman Salahuddin in Meem Se Mohabbat. Looking ahead into 2025 and 2026, he is set to appear in Ishq Di Chashni (Green Entertainment) as Eshan Butt, Behroopia as Qasim Raja, and the highly anticipated Main Zameen Tu Aasmaan. His seamless transition from Pakistan's premier host to a sought-after character actor on major networks like ARY Digital, Hum TV, and Green Entertainment continues to impress viewers nationwide.
