Bullah story
"Bullah" is a visceral and spiritually grounded action epic that positions its protagonist as a modern-day manifestation of the legendary Sufi saint and poet, Bulleh Shah. Set against the rugged and culturally rich landscape of Punjab, the story follows Bullah (Shaan Shahid), a man who inherits a legacy of moral courage and philosophical resistance. In a world increasingly dominated by systemic corruption and the iron-fisted rule of mafia lords like Bakshi, Bullah emerges not just as a fighter, but as a voice for the voiceless. The narrative masterfully weaves high-impact action choreography with deep-seated cultural traditions, exploring the timeless struggle between righteousness and oppression. Bullah's journey is further complicated by his alliance with Sophia (Sara Loren), a brave undercover agent whose mission intertwines with his quest for justice. The film is a significant milestone for Pakistani cinema as it marks the long-awaited on-screen reunion of Shaan Shahid and Saleem Sheikh after nearly three decades. With a screenplay by the veteran Nasir Adeeb, "Bullah" promises a "bloodbath" of justice on Eid-ul-Fitr, challenging the audience to recognize the truth within themselves. It is a cinematic mirror designed to spark a shift in the soul, proving that wherever injustice reigns, a force—a "Bullah"—will inevitably rise to challenge it.
