With a career spanning over two decades, Malik has significantly contributed to the Pakistani entertainment industry through her versatile talents and commitment to impactful storytelling. She pursued her education in Fine Arts, focusing on sculpture, at Hunerkada Academy of Arts in Lahore, and later obtained a postgraduate qualification in filmmaking from London, which included advanced training in computer imaging and animation from London Metropolitan University. Her early career saw her in modeling and television hosting, notably with "Black and White" on Indus Vision from 2001 to 2003, recognized as Pakistan's first coming-of-age talk show. Malik is particularly lauded for her work addressing profound social themes, often focusing on women's empowerment and human rights. She founded her production company, Angelic Films, in 2004, under which she has directed and produced critically acclaimed projects.
