Meher recently concluded her highly praised role as Dr. Falak Ishtiaq in the ARY Digital blockbuster Meri Zindagi Hai Tu, which aired its finale on March 22, 2026. Starring alongside Hania Aamir and Bilal Abbas Khan, her portrayal of the eldest daughter dealing with complex family loyalties was a highlight of the season. In early 2026, she has been active on the podcast circuit, notably appearing in the Hustle Podcast (Episode 169) in March 2026 to discuss her career "hustle" and the state of Pakistani theater. The "White Plague" & Theater (2023–2024): Meher is a champion of visceral, socially conscious theater. In 2023 and 2024, she directed and produced an Urdu adaptation of the Czech play The White Plague (originally by Karel Čapek). Staged in Karachi and Lahore, the production was a critical triumph, using a 1937 plague narrative to mirror modern crises of authority and morality. Global Production Success: Through her company Bodhi Works (formerly Bodhicitta Works), she has produced some of the region's most decorated independent films. Her credits include The Queen of My Dreams (2023/2024), Noces (A Wedding) (2016), and her breakout feature Seedlings (Lamha) (2013), which won five international awards, including Best Film at the SAARC Film Festival. Acting Career: While primarily a producer, her acting choices are highly selective. She delivered a standout performance in the Zee5 global hit Churails (2020) and appeared in Deepa Mehta's Funny Boy (2020). Her early television credits include the cult classic Jackson Heights and Meri Zindagi Hai Tu (2013 version). In Development: Meher is currently developing the high-stakes miniseries The Chosen One, based on the life of serial killer Javed Iqbal. The project was selected for Series Mania’s Writers Campus (2022) and the TIFF Series Accelerator, marking it as one of the most anticipated prestige projects in the pipeline for 2026/2027. Background & Education: Born in Karachi, Meher is a Fulbright Scholar with a Master’s in Media Studies from The New School, NY, and a Bachelor’s in Commerce from McGill University. She is known for her advocacy for women’s empowerment and social justice through film.
