Nadia is currently headlining the 2026 Geo Entertainment drama Aik Aur Pakeeza, playing the role of Aliya. She is also receiving immense praise for her performance in the 2025–2026 ARY Digital blockbuster Sharpasand, where she plays the gullible yet heartwarming Rubina "Ruby" alongside Naumaan Ijaz. In early 2026, she appeared in the supernatural comedy Jinn Ki Shadi Unki Shadi (Hum TV) as Farida. The "Golden Era" Breakthrough (1990s): Nadia began her career at the PTV Lahore Centre in the early 90s, initially hosting nighttime transmissions. She became a household name with the iconic sitcom Family Front (1997), playing Bushra. Her status as a comedy queen was cemented by her portrayal of Mishi in the cult classic Shashlik (2001), directed by Sarmad Khoosat. Dramatic Reinvention (2010s): While known for comedy, Nadia transitioned into heavy dramatic roles with masterpieces like Bilqees Kaur (2012) and Shehr-e-Zaat (2012). Her performance in Sammi (2017) as an orphan nurse earned her first major award nominations, proving her range as a character actor. The "Shahana Batool" Phenomenon: Her career reached a global peak with Suno Chanda (2018) and its sequel. Her portrayal of the Punjabi-speaking, fiery-yet-loving matriarch Shahana Batool (Shanoo) became a cultural meme and won her the Hum Award for Best Supporting Actress (2019). Modern Masterpieces: In 2021, she delivered a restrained, powerful performance as DSP Badar Munir in the global hit Parizaad. More recently, her role as Shamim, the selfless lover in Kabuli Pulao (2023), was cited by critics as one of the most soulful performances of her career. Directorial & Philanthropic Work: Nadia is also an accomplished director, having helmed Shaam Dhaley (2016) and Parlour Wali Larki (2018). In 2025–2026, she has been a leading voice for Clean Water Access, raising millions for water filtration plants through her work with the Alkhidmat Foundation. Personal Resilience: Born on September 7, 1970, in Karachi to an Air Force family, she is married to Jawad "Jodi" Pai. In a viral 2022/2023 moment, she candidly shared her painful 16-year journey with miscarriages and failed medical procedures, becoming a symbol of emotional strength for women across the country.
